Missed The Last Hike? Here’s Another One !

Since the Bowden Hill Waterfalls Hike quite a few people have been asking , when is the next. Firstly I’m not the organizer but I believe that these hikes give locals and travelers alike a chance to create unique experiences and go to places in Jamaica , that they would not ordinarily discover. Explore the Cunha Cunha Pass Heritage Trail with Jamaica Hiking & Heritage Tours on Saturday June 25, 2016.

This is a 10 miles (16km.) hike, 5 miles from Hayfield in St.Thomas to Bowden Pen, St Thomas and 5 miles returning to Hayfield.
This trails runs from South to North across the John Crow Mountains and is situated within the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park. ln addition to the hike, we will have lunch at Ambassabeth Eco-lodge and relax by the mighty Rio Grande that flows along the property .

It is a national monument and heritage trail as designated by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust because of its historical value as a trade route; as well as, the many battles fought by our national heroine The Right Excellent Nanny of the Maroons, leader of the Windward Maroons to deny British forces access to their mountain fortress.

As you hike this trail look out for the Giant Swallowtail butterfly and the Black Billed Streamertail hummingbird (Doctor bird); both are endemic to Jamaica and confined to the Eastern sector of the island.

PARTICIPANTS WILL SIGN AN INDEMNITY FORM AS REQUIRED BY JAMAICA HIKING AND HERITAGE TOURS.

HIKE COST: $3,500.00 (per person) …… This fee covers transportation, Trail guides, trail user fee.

Having made your deposit, please, retain your transaction slip for presentation when registering.

CONDITIONS APPLIED

1. NO REFUNDS: There will be no refunds. If you are unable to attend this event, you will be transferred to another similar event at a later date.

2. By participating in this event, it is assumed that you are in perfect health, and at least of moderate fitness and have consulted your doctor to ensure that you are fit enough to hike in this event.

3. You must sign Jamaica Hiking and Heritage Tours indemnity waiver to be eligible to participate in this event
